Mohamed “Moe” Ahmed is the Finance and Operations Manager at the George Mason University Center for Climate Change Communication, where he supports the strategy, operations, budgeting, grant management, and implementation systems that help climate change communication research move from idea to impact.

His work sits at the intersection of research administration, climate change, public health, environmental science, science communication, and applied geospatial analysis. He helps manage complex projects across universities, funders, researchers, and community partners, with a focus on making research more usable, efficient, and connected to real-world practice.

Moe holds an M.S. in Environmental Science and Policy, an M.S. in Geoinformatics and Geospatial Intelligence, and a B.A. in Environmental and Sustainability Studies with a minor in Environmental Economics from George Mason University. He is also a certified Project Management Professional.
